Oliver Ivanovic, a Kosovo Serb leader, announced that he is scheduled to meet with Serbian President Boris Tadic to discuss future activities of the Serb community in Kosovo.
"I expect that we will analyze the situation and agree on further action," Ivanovic, a leader of the Serb Ticket for Kosovo and Metohija, which took part in the November elections, said.
Answering a question about Serb participation in Kosovo's government institutions, Ivanovic said that "at this time I am not considering that. The current issue is that of Premier Ramush Haradinaj, which will affect the course of events."
Top officials from Belgrade have said they expect the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague to indict Haradinaj for war crimes during the conflict in Kosovo.
After their Jan. 10 meeting Ivanovic and his delegation will attend a Christmas reception organized by Serbian Premier Vojislav Kostunica. Businessmen from home and abroad have been invited to attend and the aim is to collect money to help the Kosovo Serb community.
Ivanovic said he expected the reception to result in a change of policy when it comes to Kosovo and encourage officials to "deal with our problems regularly."
He added that he hopes money will be collected "for what will happen in the spring, and that is the return of displaced persons."
