BULGARIA: Altadis not to Participate to Tobacco Sector Tenders

Altadis does not plan to participate in the privatisation of Bulgaria's tobacco companies, particularly in light of its recent about 150 mln eur acquisition of 80.75 pct of Russia's Balkan Star, Altadis co-chairman Pablo Isla said.

'Our acquisition strategy has always been selective and now, particularly after the Russian purchase, we want to focus on using that as a platform for growth,' Isla said.
