Excises for the main products submitted to this taxation regime will be increased starting with July 1st 2004, the most significant increases being for ethylic alcohol and fuel, stated sources form the Ministry of Public Finances.
Thus, the level of the excises will almost double for the ethylic alcohol, from EUR 150 / hectoliter pure alcohol to EUR 280 / hectoliter pure alcohol.
For the lead gas, excises will be increased from EUR 404 per tone and EUR 311 per 1,000 liters, to EUR 414 per tone, and EUR 319 per 1,000 liters.
For leadless gas, excises will increase from EUR 347 per tone and EUR 267 per 1,000 liters, to EUR 353 per tone, and EUR 272 per 1,000 liters.
