SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO: New Buildings Soon To Replace Bombarded Ones In Center Of Belgrade
Experts of the Construction Directorate of Serbia should, during this month, finish the preparation of the technical documentation necessary for all the buildings in the center of Belgrade that were turned into ruins during NATO's bombing, to finally be overhauled or removed, and for new buildings to be built on the land presently occupied by ruins.

After that, a concrete proposal will be directed to the members of the new Republic Government, which of the ruined buildings should be reconstructed, and which should be completely removed, as well as the proposal: in which way and what contents are most adequate for building in place of the present ruins.

On the lot, where the building of the former Ministry of Internal Affairs is located, the proposed construction is of a large shopping center, and a hotel in place of the ruins of the building of the former Federal Secretariat of Internal Affairs.
