More than 500 million euros, allegedly earned from cigarette smuggling, has been transferred to bank accounts in Cyprus held by close associates of Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, Podgorica daily Vijesti reports, citing Italian news agency ANSA.
ANSA claims the accounts are held by members of Djukanovic’s inner circle, but fails to name them.
The Anti-Mafia Bureau in Bari believes the money was acquired through smuggling, writes Vijesti.
