The Southeast Europe Economic Forum (SEEF) is an annual show-case event that gets the economic and political elite of the region together in Sofia. It is held in November and provides an opportunity for dialogue and discussion among representatives of the business community, governments and international institutions. For six years now the SEEF has served as a venue to analyze and direct trends in economic development, regional cooperation and investment opportunities in Southeast European countries. Forum participants include prominent economists, business and political leaders, leading analysts and experts. During the Forum some 1000 participants exchange information about promising investment opportunities provided in each country in the region, the organizations of local and international business and both the challenges and stumbling blocks ahead of any decision maker. The event provides access to useful information and facilitates the sharing of experience while establishing valuable individual and corporate contacts among participants. Participation in SEEF is often a first step for large multinationals towards making a decision to invest in a country in the region, take up an international infrastructure project or set up a new business operation. SEEF's track record of success has established the Forum as a prestigious and irreplaceable international event for Southeast Europe, sealing participation as an irrevocable commitment in the business calendar of many esteemed business people, government, political and community leaders.
